READERSLOGUE

Ensuring a camaraderie in all depositions we find ourselves

Dimming Out

1 min read

“The best”. That’s what I called you.
If it be that a flame of fire blazing and burning,
In it I found you,
Then, may my love not be a stumbling block that the fire burns me out to ashes.

If it is that my time here on earth is short,
Not enough to hold you,
Then, may I come back in the next life just to be with you.

What has life in store for me
That all in my atonement, my karma is not enough.
Why is this pain a burden to bear?

Finally, at the end of my journey here on earth, the evil I battled
Seems to have the upper hand

My flame is gone.
Not because I stopped loving you,
But because I’m incapable to face this Life, to face the truth.
