In an unexpected turn of events, Kenyan-born culinary wizard, Bernice Kariuki, has bid farewell to her role as Arsenal’s private chef after an impressive two-year stint with the English Premier League club. As Arsenal concluded their season with a resounding 5-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Kariuki took to Facebook to announce her departure and celebrate the team’s success.
“A final day flourish. Finished the season with a bang! Simply the best!!! Arsenal… Arsenal… Arsenal. 2020/2023, the best special season ever. I hang my gloves as a very proud chef, it’s been an honour working for the best club in the whole world. I was truly humbled,” she joyfully shared.
Since joining the club in 2021, Kariuki played a vital role in curating delectable meals for the first-team players at Arsenal’s esteemed London Colney training ground. Her responsibilities encompassed ensuring the team’s well-being and nutrition both before and after matches, as well as crafting enticing menus for their travels.
Prior to her time at Arsenal, Kariuki honed her culinary expertise at several prestigious London hotels, garnering invaluable experience along the way. While her future plans remain undisclosed, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fellow Kenyans for their unwavering support throughout her journey.
