Ensuring a camaraderie in all depositions we find ourselves

Lies

1 min read

Mamma tells me I’ve been talking in my sleep at night,

Conversations with a certain person in my dreams,

How could I have told her?

That I got my heart broken?

You’re not even calling,

Don’t you miss me?

Don’t you miss “our” times?

Didn’t it hurt to watch me leave?

I keep reminiscing about you,

My laughter now sounds just like yours,

I remember your eyes, the color of burnished copper, like liquid fire,

I remember you murmuring my name, and soft words, of love and passion, as we pulled off our clothes, as we rolled and tumbled, until our passion exploded, and how you whispered later, your love to me, saying you’ll be with me till time dies itself,

Turns out…those were lies afterall
