The month of heavy downpour is here again. Rainy season is always accompanied with some sun, making us wonder if the weather is just ‘confused’.

Imagine dressing up for a hot day only to get wet and face the cold later on, or wearing white cotton fabric shoes, only to end up walking on muddy ground.

Accompanied with this season comes floods, mud puddles, and drive- by water splashes. Being prepared and looking chic can still be achieved with some of the fashion essentials we have for you.

Foldable Umbrellas

It is so essential as it gives almost complete protection from the rain. Umbrellas can be colourful accessories to add to the outfit of the day. They come in different designs and sizes, and are usually affordable

Jelly Shoes And Bags

Rubber is the new cool! We are big on these because not only are they waterproof, they are fashionable, durable and easy to clean. On the flip side, an old trick is to always have a pair of rubber slippers in your handbag. That way, you’re always prepared.

Sweaters Or Knitwear Outfits

No rain or cold is going to dampen our style! Why not wear stylish knitwear. They’re good for the cold and you still look good. Wearing trench coats is not a bad idea either, but you know how fast our weather can switch.

Shower Cap

Unless you’re going straight from the car into a building, a shower cap is needed. Showing up with wet hair isn’t a flattering look and without drying it, you know how damp and smelly it can get.

Dark Bottoms

Knee length or midi outfits are preferable for this season, to avoid having soaked clothes and stains. This is especially when you have to walk in the rain. If you have to, darker bottoms are best as wetness and stains are easily concealed.

Scarves

Scarves come in handy when it gets really cold or you need to hide a wet patch. You can always use it as a cover when there’s no umbrella and a quick run indoors has to be made.

It’s so easy to dump our fashionable pieces during the rainy season. Hopefully, with these essentials we are fully prepared for the rains. Looking good is good business.
