In a shocking turn of events, a 26-year-old man named Nuhu Mohammed, hailing from Izom in Niger State, has reportedly conspired with his friend, Sani Usman, to commit a heinous crime. The motive? A heated dispute with his neighbor over a missing sum of N90,000. Sadly, their plot resulted in the untimely demise of the neighbor’s 14-year-old daughter, Ubaida Surajo, while her mother was away at the Izom market.
According to reports, the confrontation erupted when the mother accused Nuhu of being the prime suspect in the disappearance of her hard-earned money. The incident was swiftly reported to the Gawu-Babangida Division in Gurara local government area, prompting the authorities to take immediate action.
Wasiu Abiodun, the police spokesman, shed light on the disturbing details, stating, “Upon receiving the distressing news, our diligent officers at the division initiated a preliminary investigation and apprehended both Nuhu Mohammed and Sani Usman, residents of Izom town.”
During the subsequent interrogation, Nuhu, who happened to be a tenant in the same residence, shockingly admitted to committing the horrendous crime. He confessed that the mother’s accusation had ignited an intense rage within him, leading him to invite his friend, Sani, to the house. Tragically, as soon as the young girl returned from school, they launched a brutal attack on her.
According to the police spokesperson, “The girl suffered severe head injuries and was strangled to death by the pair. They promptly fled the scene, securing the house by locking the gate from the outside. It wasn’t until the mother returned from the market that the ghastly discovery was made.”
