The eagerly awaited ministerial list of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is complete, as confirmed by Senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele. During the launch of his two books titled “Leadership Through Communication,” Bamidele shared that he had spoken to the President who requested 24 hours alone to make a crucial decision concerning the ministerial list.
President Tinubu reportedly called Bamidele at 10:03 am on Tuesday, stating that a correspondence would soon come from the Senate regarding the list. The President asked for prayers as he was about to finalize the selection of his ministers, aiming to choose individuals that would be well-received by Nigerians.
At the book launch event in Abuja, Bamidele expressed his gratitude for the President’s loyalty for over 30 years, dating back to his time as an aide to Tinubu in 1992. Senate President Godswill Akpabio also commended Bamidele for his steadfastness and service to Tinubu over the years.
During the 60th birthday anniversary lecture, Prof Toyin Ogundipe emphasized the need for political office holders to reduce the number of vehicles in their convoys, highlighting that the Police should be sufficient for security purposes without the presence of other agencies like the FRSC and VIO. This move, according to Ogundipe, would demonstrate empathy with the Nigerian public during challenging times.
As Nigerians await the official announcement of the ministerial list, all eyes are on President Tinubu’s crucial decision, which is expected to be a significant step in shaping his administration.
