A thunderstorm in Alle-Kwara, Lailaba district, under the Argungu local government area of Kebbi State, has tragically resulted in the death of three individuals and left six others injured. This incident occurred during a heavy downpour, striking the village while its residents were asleep. Eyewitness Yahaya Danjada Argungu shared that the deceased individuals have been laid to rest according to Islamic traditions in the main cemetery of Alle-Kwara, and the injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Argungu General Hospital.

 

In response to the devastating event, Deputy Governor Abubakar Umar Tafidan Kebbi visited the village to express his condolences on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris. He extended his support by donating N3.5 million to the families who lost their loved ones and those who sustained injuries. This gesture aims to provide some financial assistance and solace during this difficult time.
